Polish Babka for Easter

4 eggs, jumbo size

7/8 cup cane sugar

3 cups white whole wheat pastry flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

2 sticks butter, melted,warm

1 cup milk, hot

2 teaspoons vanila extract

3 teaspoons cocoa powder

Preheat your oven to 400 F.

Beat the eggs and sugar until pale. Add the flour mixed with baking powder. Combine the ingredients. Mix in warm butter and vanilla extract. At the end add hot milk.

Remove 1/3 of the cake batter from the mixing bowl.

To the 2/3 of the batter add 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder.

Butter a bunt pan and sprinkle with bread crumbs. At the button of the pan pour 1/3 of the cocoa batter, then pour the white batter and cover with the remaining cocoa batter.

Bake for 45 minutes. Let cool in the pan completely before removing the cake.
